Muskathlon

A Muskathlon is an endurance challenge like no others. Set in extreme geographical locations with a purpose of raising significant funds to fight injustice worldwide. Men and women are able to run a half or full marathon; to bike 100+ kilometers; or to walk 60+ kilometers.

In order to participate, a Muskathlete must raise $10,000. The host country, and a specific partner-charity, is the beneficiary of the funds raised.  Muskathletes are also responsible for their own travel expense.

With such a significant fund-raising commitment, each Muskathlete becomes a major advocate in this ministry. Back home, the Muskathlete, their family and friends, will rally the whole community to help raise funds. This collective effort broadens awareness on the injustice at the place of affliction.

In addition, the Muskathlete will commit considerable time and effort to physically prepare for the event.  Many Muskathletes devote an entire year to prepare, and remain as lifelong friends and champions of this ministry even long after the event.

A Muskathlon Week
A Muskathlon Week has three components:

  1. Deeper appreciation of the nature of injustice: paying home visits to the poorest of the poor, meeting persecuted Christians, understanding the world of sex-trafficking;
  2. Profound spiritual lessons from the Word of God: daily group devotions and time with team members – to process the experiences and to strengthen your faith;
  3. The Muskathlon: it is the pinnacle event of the week – starting early in the morning and finishing with a big celebration.
